Public Libraries
The Town of Avon is home to one of the largest public libraries in Hendricks County, the Avon-Washington Township Library. It celebrated its 90th year in 2010. Additionally, the town's close location to Indianapolis offers a variety of resources to residents of the community Avon visitors.
Avon-Washington Township Library
The Avon-Washington Township Library provides a wealth of resources for residents and visitors to the Town of Avon. In addition to a wide collection of books and magazines, the Avon-Washington Township Library provides DVDs, and downloadable e-books and audio books. Library patrons also have access to an extensive online collection of databases for research and information. The library's Huron Heritage Room opened in 2010 to preserve the history of Avon-Washington Township.
