HENDRICKS COUNTY ELECTION BOARD RESOLUTION FOR MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS
RECITALS
Whereas: absent any action by the County Election Board, a regular scheduled municipal election will occur in Avon and Brownsburg on November 7, 2023 and
Whereas: after examining ail declarations, including write-in declarations, certifications and petitions the board has determined that there are no more nominees for election to offices in Danville, Pittsboro, and Plainfield to be voted on in Danville, Pittsboro, and Plainfield but unopposed candidates have filed for offices in for election in Danville, Pittsboro, and Plainfield.
Whereas: pursuant to 1C3-10-6-7.5(d)(2) no person has filed for declaration of intent to be a write-in candidate for office under 1C3-8-2-2.5 that results in a contestfor election to the same municipal office for Danville, Pittsboro, and Plainfield.
RESOLUTION
(BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that, based upon the foregoing recitals and pursuant to 1C3-10-6-7.5{d), the Hendricks County Election Board unanimously resolves, and hereby orders with consent of its entire membership, Hendricks County Election Board Adopts this resolution and hereby orders, that a municipal election will NOTbe held on November 7, 2023 in Danville, Pittsboro and Plainfield, and that after November 7, 2023 the Clerk shall, upon demand of the candidate, certify all unopposed candidates for any town office in the same manner as if elected to office as provided in 1C3-12-5-3.
This resolution will expire on January 1, 2024.
