2023 Holidays


Whereas, the Avon Town Council has determined the dates that shall be recognized as holidays by the town and therefore Town employees who would otherwise be scheduled to work on those dates shall receive a paid day off.


Now, therefore, be it ordained by the Town Council of Avon, Indiana that the following dates are recognized as town holidays for the year 2023:


Monday, January 16 Martin Luther King Day

Monday, February 20 Presidents’ Day

Monday, May 29 Memorial Day

Monday June 19 Juneteenth-Emancipation Day

Tuesday, July 4 Independence Day

Wednesday, July 5 Day after Independence Day

Monday, September 4 Labor Day

Monday, October 9 Columbus Day

Friday, November 10 Veterans’ Day

Thursday, November 23 Thanksgiving Day

Friday, November 24 Day after Thanksgiving Day

Monday, December 25 Christmas Holiday

Tuesday, December 26 Christmas Holiday


This ordinance is hereby passed and adopted this 1st day of December, 2022.
