The Town has begun construction of its first paved 10 foot trail along a public street. The trail is along the south side of 100 North and will run from Harvest Ridge to the 100 North Roundabout. The project also includes construction of sidewalk links between a few neighborhoods on Dan Jones Road and on 100 North. The project will connect 17 neighborhoods, over 3000 homes and more than 11,000 residents.
Residents will be able to walk or bike from and to the following the neighborhoods via sidewalk or trail:

- Beechwood Farms
- Carolina Commons
- Forrest Commons
- Harvest Ridge
- Heathermor
- Ians Pointe
- Lakeland Farms
- Mapleton at Wynne Farms (new section under construction)
- Oaks of Avon
- Park Place
- Stonebridge
- Stoney Meadow
- The Groves at Beechwood and Cobblestone Springs
- Waterford Lake
- Winton Meadows
