The Town of Avon is excited to share that Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc. (HYMH), a global manufacturer of lift trucks and aftermarket parts, has announced plans to establish a new Customer and Parts Solutions Center in Avon, Indiana.

The new facility will transition operations from HYMH’s Parts Distribution Center in Danville, Illinois, to a larger, modern location in Avon. Designed to enhance efficiency and customer engagement, the center will consolidate shipping and packaging operations, streamline supply chain processes, and support modernized aftersales and parts distribution services.

This investment is expected to bring approximately 350 high-paying jobs to the community and aligns with the Town of Avon’s long-term vision for quality industrial development. The transition to the new facility is anticipated to begin in early 2026 and conclude by Fall 2026, pending approvals from the Town of Avon and Hendricks County.

New Names Approved for Avon Parks & Trails

We’re excited to share an important update following last night’s Town Council meeting. The Council has officially approved a resolution to formally name several of Avon’s parks, trails, and recreational facilities.

As we begin implementing enhanced safety and security plans across our system, these official names will help ensure clearer communication—especially when identifying exact locations during emergency response situations.

You may begin hearing these new names used more frequently:

• Avon Youth Sports Fields (866): Foundation Ballpark

• Avon Adult Sports Fields (104): Apex Ballpark

• Avon Indoor Facility (Kingston St): The Summit Indoor Training

• Winton Meadows: Woodhaven Park

• White Lick Creek: White Lick Trail

• Burnett: Burnett Woods Park & Nature Preserve

• Memorial Park: World War II Memorial Park

• Pickleball Courts: The Pickle Patch

• Town Hall Park: Blue Heron Park

We understand it may take some time to adjust, but we encourage everyone to begin using these new names moving forward.
